Government announces about-turn on “Zero Carbon Homes”13-Aug-2015
In a major policy about-turn, the Government has announced that the planned revisions to document L 2016 linked to “Zero Carbon Homes” are to be scrapped.
Changes for part L relating to “Zero Carbon Homes” targets have been dropped altogether, with both allowable solutions and tightening of energy efficient standards not being progressed. The planned Zero Carbon requirement for non-residential buildings in 2019 has also been removed.
The announcement was made as part of a Government report; “Fixing the foundations: creating a more prosperous nation.”

This will mean that the current approved document of 2013 will remain unchanged for the future.
